Oma kuvaus

I am an visual artist, textile artist and designer, specializing in material research and surface design. My work is strongly grounded in the exploration of materials, structures, and color, with a particular focus on sustainability. I seek out materials and techniques that can tell stories and challenge conventional perspectives in design and art.

My roots lie in Northern Lapland and Inari Sámi heritage, from which my deep connection to nature grows. This close relationship with the northern environment informs both, my material choices and my way of working.

Artistically, I aim to create works in which the relationship between material and content forms the core of meaning. My practice brings together craft traditions and contemporary visual art, allowing material itself to become a storyteller and a carrier of memory, experience, and transformation.
